Cu29 Design Lab

Welcome to Cu29 Design Lab!

Hi, my name is Juxta and I run this website.

We live in a world dependent on both science and technology, in which few understand science or technology.

Cu29 Design Lab seeks to break apart the often opaque and messy world of modern technology one piece at a time; to better understand how we got here, what the future of technology might look like, and what effects our world might experience as a result.

FAQ

Q: What is Cu29 Design Lab?
A: At present? A tech support freelance & consulting business based out of the Midwest with a website/blog on the side. In the future? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe a video game studio? IDK, haven't gotten that far yet.

Q: Why the name "Cu29 Design Lab"?
A: Cu29 Design Lab is based in the "Copper Country" of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I took inspiration from the elemental symbol (Cu) and atomic number (29) of Copper in naming my business "Cu29". The "Design Lab" part of the name comes from my field(s) of study, namely communication science and human centered design.
